Credentials & Areas of Training

At The Sunny Desk, coaching is centered on personal growth, self-reflection, and practical ways to bring more sunshine into everyday life. I’m Alicia N. C., and my training spans four areas that inform the guidance and experiences I offer.

Explore my areas of training below to learn more about the approaches I draw from in my coaching.

1. Journaling

Journaling is a valuable tool for self-reflection, organizing thoughts, exploring emotions, and developing greater personal awareness.

My journaling training informs the reflective exercises and writing prompts I use to help clients explore their goals, recognize patterns, and create space for personal growth. I believe putting thoughts into words can be a meaningful first step toward gaining perspective and deciding what comes next.

2. Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy explores the use of aromatic plant-derived materials, including essential oils, as part of personal routines and sensory experiences.

My aromatherapy training informs the educational guidance I offer around essential oils, scent preferences, and incorporating aromatic experiences into everyday routines. My approach emphasizes thoughtful selection, responsible use, and appropriate safety considerations.

3. Lithotherapy

Lithotherapy is an approach associated with the use of crystals and stones in wellness and spiritual practices.

My lithotherapy training informs how I discuss crystals, their traditional associations, and the personal meaning people may find in them. I approach this area as a tool for personal reflection and intention-setting, rather than a substitute for medical care or scientifically established treatment.

4. Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

Neuro-linguistic programming, commonly known as NLP, is an approach focused on the relationship between language, thought patterns, behavior, and personal experience.

My NLP training informs the personal development techniques I draw from when helping clients explore perspectives, clarify goals, and consider different ways of approaching everyday challenges.

My Approach to Coaching

These four areas contribute to the perspective I bring to The Sunny Desk. Depending on the service selected, coaching may include reflective prompts, personalized recommendations, educational resources, or practical exercises.

My goal is to provide an approachable, individualized experience that helps you explore your interests and identify meaningful next steps.

Important note: Coaching and educational services are not medical or mental health care and do not replace advice or treatment from qualified healthcare professionals. Aromatherapy and crystal-related practices are not presented as cures or treatments for medical conditions.
